Help Michael raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS)It takes more than one person to make up a team and that’s why I’m asking you to donate to my Team-In-Training fundraising page for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! By participating as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) TNT, I am raising funds to help find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Your donation will help fund treatments that save lives every day; like immunotherapies that use a person’s own immune system to kill cancer. You may not know it, but every single donation helps save a life with breakthrough therapies such as these. Patients need these cures and they need your support. Donate & Learn More!
How You Can Help Michael Raise Money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in this One-Month Challenge!
Michael is fundraising for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The goal is to help LLS fund life-saving treatments for kids and adults with these cancers. These people show up every day and fight battle after battle, hoping to enter remission and say goodbye to cancer. Let’s help them win the war. Donate Now. My Team-In-Training for LLS has one month to raise funds and reach our goal.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Team in Training
Michael was a senior team member at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program in New York City for five years. Team in Training is the largest endurance sports training program in the world, and its partnership with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has raised over a billion dollars for blood related cancer research and treatment options, since the program’s inception. Over the course of five years, Michael assisted Team in Training participants in completing walking, biking, and running marathons. Team In Training funds exciting medical advances like targeted therapy and repurposed drugs for specific diseases. Michael raised a total of $10,000 during his time at Team in Training. New York Cares
On a more local level, Michael decided to volunteer his physical services when New York was devastated by Hurricane Sandy in October of 2012. He joined the nonprofit agency New York Cares to do on site work in flooded homes throughout the area. The agency organized a large team of volunteers who traveled to the hardest hit areas in the Rockaways as soon as the storm had receded. Wearing Hazmat suits for their safety, Michael and the team worked tirelessly, gutting water damaged houses so that the community could begin to repair and restore their spaces. Because Michael split his time between Utah and New York for two years (Parallel HR has offices in both cities), he has a long history of hands on contribution on the West Coast as well. In June of 2011 he joined Habitat for Humanity’s chapter in Salt Lake City and helped build new houses for low income families in the area. The Salt Lake City chapter has provided shelter for over 350 people since it was founded.
Michael also consistently helps out in homeless shelters in various locations throughout Utah. He mainly devotes his work to the largest shelter in Utah, which is operated by social services nonprofit The Road Home. Michael assists in preparing meals, serving the food to the homeless, and cleaning up afterward. The Road Home offers a number of foodrelated group activities, such as assembling sack lunches for schoolchildren and preparing dinners for families, and Michael usually takes the employees of Parallel HR Solutions once a year so that they can all volunteer as a company.
